Google's Case
In the article ‘ The Real Cost of Google's Sellout to China’ it seems that Google is looking for its short term profit which is going to be having an unprincipled relation with Chinese government in barring right of entry to several web sites and search terms. According to the article they are ‘barring on the World Wide Web the Chinese feel might destabilize its authoritarian government’. It is obvious that we can relate that action to the Government Policy in the threat of entry in the Porter Five Force. Google categorized themselves as the freedom protector in the US but when they began to deal with the Chinese Government -which is the second largest technician market and going to be the first- they look at their increasing revenue in the short period. Chinese government is protecting their interest by blocking web sites for the 100 million Chinese who is willing to use Internet in China. Most bureaucratic regimes protect their system by controlling the access to any information source and in that case Google which has ‘don’t be evil’ is their motto provides a major technical help to the Chinese government in to limit their people knowledge. Government policy in freedom is not civilized because limiting access to information source contradicts with the basic human right around the world.
